Jenny and Ross wanted to do their engagement shoot by the lovely rural setting of the Jack and Jill windmills in Sussex. Jenny has a delightful horse at a nearby stable so we took him out for a little walk which seemed to confuse him no end! The wedding isn’t far off and I can’t wait as they are a fun couple. These images are processed with ‘Milkshake’ from our newest set of vintage Photoshop actions that will be available very soon.

Engagement Shoot, Sussex
Monday, March 14th, 2011Brighton Engagement Photography
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011The very lovely Francesca & Charlie came down to Brighton for their engagement shoot and we wanted a slightly 60s look to the photography. So after stopping off at the fabulous Miss Mole’s Flower Emporium, we headed to the arches used in Quadrophenia and the beach near the pier. This shoot has been processed with Pistachio Haze from my new collection of vintage photoshop actions which are being tested now. Let me know what you think.
Bunny Behinds
Saturday, February 19th, 2011Jayne helped me out on this shoot but also did this fabulous little behind the scenes story too. Such an amazing couple and we had a great day. Katie’s Mum also helped out and made us all well deserved big Vodka Tonics at the end!
London Engagement Shoot
Saturday, February 19th, 2011My second shoot with the Hasselblad H4D-50 and ‘Dream Kit’ from the Pro Centre as part of my Wedding Photographer of the Year Award. I saw some pictures of these two on Facebook dressed in big fluffy bunny suits at a fancy dress party and that sparked the idea for this quirky shoot. Tommy is the singer in the alternative rock band Slaves to Gravity and Katie is a gorgeous 50s chick so we were aiming for something a bit vintage and a bit dark. We shot a day in the life of them as this fantasy bunny couple and had a lot of fun. Well, it is the Year of the Rabbit! I will be showing the behind the scenes images too.
Glasgow Engagement Photography / Fiona & Phil
Monday, December 20th, 2010Last week, I traveled up to a frozen Glasgow and met Fiona and Phil who’s wedding is next summer in Crear on the west coast of Scotland. Fiona is a designer so their flat is gorgeous, as are their two cats who decided to take a starring role in the pictures. We did brave the elements and took in their neighborhood which has some quirky, kooky spots that I loved before making the most of the late afternoon light in the local park.
American Engagement in London / Olivia & Justin
Tuesday, November 16th, 2010Americans Olivia and Justin are getting married in their home city in Utah next February with 400 guests. So their wedding day is going to be quite busy and most likely in the snow, amazing. As Olivia is currently studying in London, they opted to have their engagement photography shot here, in a week that Justin was visiting. They wanted the shoot to feature some of London’s most iconic landmarks so we took a whirlwind tour of Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and St Paul’s. We even came across the Royal Guard. The light was just beautiful, it had that romantic winter haze to it and these two are so in love despite the current distance between them. Gorgeous….

London Engagement Photography / Leslie & Benedict
Sunday, September 19th, 2010This London couple are serious foodies and into their books so we decided to do their engagement photography on the South Bank in some of their favourite places. We started at Borough Market, which is amazing, can’t believe I have never been. It is food heaven and you can pretty much fill up by wandering round getting samples of everything from Thai curry to obscure cheeses. After a quick champagne cider, we stopped off at Tate Modern before hitting the book market on the South Bank. The light was gorgeous and before we finished, I persuaded Leslie to pop on some Minnie Mouse ears, well she is American! The wedding is in London in November and sounds as if it will be amazing and quite emotional. I’ve had a sneaky peek at the dress design by Brighton designer Joanne Fleming and it is gorgeous.
Engagement Photography Cambridge / Quynh & Hai Part 2
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010For the second part of their story, we travelled to Cambridge where Quynh and Hai had been students. As I had never been, it was up to them to pick the locations but it is such a gorgeous place that it was easy. After the sleek, urban and rather sexy London engagement shoot, they wanted to express their softer side and for the photos to have a vintage look. We simply walked around the infamous colleges which are so peaceful and beautiful, it is hard to believe they are in the middle of a city. We couldn’t not have a punt up the river but luckily Hai is very experienced and we all kept dry!

London Engagement Photography / Quynh & Hai
Friday, August 20th, 2010This is the first part of Quynh and Hai’s engagement story. They are getting married in Vietnam in November with 700 guests over two days which sounds intense. They in London and wanted to use it as a location without being very obvious. Of course around rush hour in the capital, everywhere was pretty crowed but the very kind workmen let us onto the side of Tower Bridge that is closed so we had it all to ourselves. Despite the weather looking a little bit dubious the sun did come out in time for some romance in front of the Houses of Parliament and then we skipped off to Bond Street and found a lovely peaceful garden and this great warehouse door. I love the contrast in its colour against Quynh’s dress. I am looking forward to shooting the second part in Cambridge.

Sussex Engagement Photography / Hayley & Lucas
Friday, July 9th, 2010I love planning engagement shoots and all this glorious sunshine is perfect. Hayley and Lucas came down to Sussex this week as they wanted a countryside location. Great, I start thinking picnics, parasols, table and chairs in a meadow with teapots and doilies but Hayley said that they wanted to keep it simple. What no props at all? OK, we would like some flowers. So I reigned it all back in and they sent some samples of shoots that they liked. As a couple, they are quite punk and Donal at Pollen came up with the spiky posy of zingy yellow chrysthanthemums. That man can do no wrong. I was thinking it might be a bit, well naked without the props but actually I love these images. Its all about their unique kind of love and its a little bit quiet but very warm and cosy.
